Syllable Decomposition
trubliona word formed by Anatole France, jokingly, from the ancient Greek τρύβλιον trublion (bowl), from the nickname, "mess tin", of Philippe d'Orléans, at the time of the Dreyfus Affair. Anatole France wrote a satire in a Rabelaisian Middle French: "Then people appeared in the city who uttered great cries, and were called the trublions, because they served a chief named trublion, who was of high lineage, but of little knowledge and in great imperitence of youth."
