adjectivecommon noun

Syllable Decomposition

sidaïque

Coined by Guillaume Faye, a journalist and far-right writer, then popularized by several personalities of the National Front, including its former president Jean-Marie Le Pen. Its construction is based on the French acronym for AIDS (SIDA) and an association with an antisemitic connotation to 'Judaic'. The General Commission for the French Language, on the other hand, recommended the use of the term 'sidéen', while others preferred the term 'sidatique'.
