The term barjot (noun 1) does not seem to have been attested as a common noun before 1956, and its usage may be related to Admiral Pierre Barjot, who was in charge of the air naval part during the Suez Crisis and would have accomplished an insane action that nonetheless allowed the mission to succeed.
