Pictavien

from Latin pictaviensis, from pictavis, Latin name of Poitiers. demonym formed to avoid confusion with the term Poitevin, which refers to both the inhabitants of Poitou and Poitiers. Both terms now seem to be used to refer to the inhabitants of the city.
