The Badí‘ calendar ('new, wondrous, unique') used in the Bahá'í faith is a solar calendar that divides the year into 19 months of 19 days, with the addition of 4 or 5 intercalary days. The months derive their names from the nineteen names of God invoked in the Du'ay-i-Sahar, a Shiite prayer of Ramadan (month of fasting).
